Grow Wild - Purposefully Indigenous

20 % discount on all trees

Grow Wild is a nursery specializing in the propagating of plants indigenous to Southern Africa.

We grow a wide variety of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, bulbs and aloes. If what you want is not available at Grow Wild we will try and source for you. Some of the plants listed are not suitable for cold Highveld gardens.
Our emphasis is on hardy Highveld plants which will survive periods of drought as well as harsh winter temperatures.

The retail nursery at 102 Dunmaglass Road, Glenferness, Midrand is a tranquil environment under the canopy of indigenous trees, which is well stocked and has informative labeling.

We also supply wholesale plants to landscapers, schools and municipalities.

We welcome your visit or email us so that we can be of assistance to you. I have used The Illustrated Dictionary of Southern African Plant Names by Hugh Clarke and Michael Charters in the plant descriptions to see the derivation of the names. It makes interesting reading.

What our customers are saying

Grow Wild Nursery specialises in indigenous plants suited to the Highveld climate and weather conditions.  They have been infinitely generous with several donations to us for the improvement of the park area on Crestwood Drive.  Gretchen, the owner of Grow Wild Nursery, has donated 7 beautiful indigenous trees and various plants to create a flower bed as well as to assist with the slope stability.  She has also donated a great deal of compost necessary for the creation of the new flower beds. Gretchen continues to support our endeavours to improve Lonehill’s green infrastructure through the supply of affordable plants, organics, invaluable advice and spectacular donations.  Thank you for your generosity!!
