Top 5 uses for coffee grounds in the garden.

1. Coffee grounds can be used as a mulch to prevent the growth of weeds and prevent the soil from drying out. 

2. Steep 2 cups of grounds in 2 L of water over night and then use as a fertilizer.

3. Grounnds make the soil acidic so is useful for Clivias.

4. Add then to your compost heap as the are a good source of nitrogen and tannic acid.

5. Sprinkle around plants to prevent slugs and snails from gettig at your plants. Top

How to stop cats from digging in your garden bed.

Take a spray bottle and fill to 4/5 with water. Add several drops of one of the following essential oil: peppermint, eucalyptus, lemongrass or lavender. You could also do this for your house plants or to stop cats from scratching furniture. Adding coffee grounds around the plants also helps to keep cats away.
